The Porziuncola (Crystal Church)

The exterior, like the interior, is punctuated by thirty-six windows that run between the concrete ribs and crown the domed roof. The floor plan is oval. The richness of the stained-glass windows is complemented by the richness of the floor tiles and the sculptural ornamentation, which depict religious themes, most of them related to the Franciscan order and the Canticle of the Creatures by Saint Francis.
